Ingredients
Aciphex contains active ingredients called rabeprazole sodium which is a substituted benzimidazole that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Chemically, rabeprazole sodium can be said as 2-[[[4-(3-methoxypropoxy)-3-methyl-2-pyridinyl] - methyl] sulfinyl]-1H–benzimidazole sodium salt. The empirical formula and its molecular weight are C18H20N3NaO3S and 381.43 respectively. Rabeprazole sodium is soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, chloroform and ethyl acetate. Aciphex is available with enteric-coated which contains 20mg of rabeprazole sodium.
