Symptoms like nasal itching, ocular itching, sneezing, and tearing are found in such cases. For treating seasonal allergic rhinitis Allegra can be used in adults and in children above the age of two. A dosage of 60 mg daily is recommended for above 12 years of age. A decrease in the dosage is recommended for people who are affected by renal problems. 30 mg is the recommended dosage for children between 6 and 11 years of age. For children with decreased renal functions the dosage is reduced. For treating chronic idiopathic urticaria, children above 6 months and adults can be given Allegra. If the patients are given Allegra ODT it should be taken on empty stomach. The tablet is designed in such a way that it disintegrate in the tongue. Do not chew Allegra ODT. Since Allegra ODT is packed in blister cards, do not remove it until you are going to have it. For children in the age of 2 to 11 years, Allegra oral suspension can be given. The recommended dosage is 30 mg and hence 5 mL of the oral suspension can be given. This dosage can be split into two doses of 15 mg each daily. The bottle containing the oral suspension should be shaken well before use.

Headache, back pain, cough, and upper respiratory tract infections are reported in some of the patients who took Allegra.
