Betnovate is for topical application only. Make sure you are not applying Betnovate in the areas that have cuts and bruises. Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it with children without consulting your physician. It is necessary that you disclose the other medications that you take before using Betnovate as it might interact with those medicines. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medicine. Do not wrap the skin in the area applied. For more effectiveness of the medicine apply in thin layer. In some cases airtight dressing might be preferred by the doctor so that the medicine absorbed is high. In such cases use Betnovate as directed by your doctor. For treating itching and swelling adults can use the cream or ointment of Betnovate for one to three times a day. For children follow the instructions given by your doctor. For treating scalp problems apply Betnovate once in the morning and once in the night.

Precautions

People with allergies should consult their doctor before using Betnovate. If you are allergic to any foods and dyes, it is necessary that you inform that to your doctor before using Betnovate. Watch out for any adverse reactions if you are using it for children. Patients who have other problems like diabetes, adrenal gland disorder, intracranial hypertension and high blood sugar should not use Betnovate as it might worsen their condition further. You might side effects when you apply to an area where the skin is open due to some other infection.
