Inflammation is a pathological process that occurs when damaged tissue (in response to external and internal factors) and is shown in circulatory disorders, changing the blood and connective tissue in the form of alteration, exudation and proliferation. In this one, mostly local process, in varying degrees, is involved the whole body and especially such systems, as immune, endocrine and nervous.
How to overcome inflammation?
For more than 25 years in Europe and Asia (Germany, Japan, etc. ) clinical practice uses anti-inflammatory properties of Serratiopeptidase (generic Biosuganril) - a naturally occurring proteolytic enzyme. In nature, Serratiopeptidase is produced in the gut of the silkworm. This enzyme is involved in digestion, and is used to dissolve the silkworm cocoon.
Dr. Hans Alfred Nieper (1928-1998) German physician, has been widely used Biosuganril in his practice, calling this enzyme "miraculous". But Robert Redfern, author of the most comprehensive to date monograph on Serratiopeptidase, considers its enzyme the second gift of silkworm to humanity.
At the pharmaceutical market Serratiopeptidase is represented, in particular, by the drug Biosuganril, which is produced in 10mg coated tablets.
The drug has fibrinolytic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effect. In addition to reducing inflammation, Biosuganril reduces the severity of the pain in tissues.
When to apply Biosuganril?
Serratiopeptidase is used in the wide range of diseases.
Thus, the drug is effective in sports injuries, sprains, torn bunches, fractures and twists. The drug has anti-inflammatory effects and promotes reparative processes. Also, it is able to reduce post surgery swelling of the tissues.
In plastic surgery, the drug reduces post-operative swelling, repairing microcirculation in transplant rejection.
Biosuganril is effective in upper respiratory tract diseases: it lowers the viscosity of mucus in the sinuses, middle ear cavity, promotes better penetration of antibiotics into sites of inflammation.
Besides, the remedy is used in acute inflammatory dermatoses. The drug promotes the resorption of hematomas, improves emptying of the mammary glands.
Biosuganril dosage, contraindications and side effects
Serratiopeptidase should be taken in a dose of 10mg (1 tablet) 3 times daily after meals. Donít chew the drug, just swallow it. As a rule, therapy length depends on the pathologic process and is determined by the physician individually.
Biosuganril contraindications are presented by: hypersensitivity to serratiopeptidase or other components of the drug and severe disorders of blood clotting.
Side effects include: anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort and diarrhea. Very rarely nosebleeds, or sputum mixed with blood.
As the active ingredient of Biosuganril affects blood clotting, it should be taken with care by people with bleeding risk, and those, taking anticoagulants.
Special care is prescribed to patients with severe liver or renal impairment.
Clinical studies of Biosuganril
Biosuganril has become popular after number of clinical trials, which have really proved its efficacy and good tolerability among patients of all ages.
Thus, according to medical research, the drug is active in postoperative swelling and pain of various etiology. As well, the positive action of Biosuganril was marked by dental surgery specialists.
The authors believe that the use of Biosuganril can be a good method of carpal tunnel syndrome treatment and are going to conduct more studies in this field.
World clinical trials confirm the anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrinolytic activity, in particular, the rapid therapeutic effect of Serratiopeptidase in upper respiratory tract inflammatory diseases.
The ability of Biosuganril to dilute phlegm and provide expectorant action have been demonstrated in both experimental and clinical studies.
