Dexamethasone (Decadron) is one of the strongest hormone medications and it has a wide pharmacological effect on the whole body of human. It has an anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, immunosuppressive, anti-shock, and antitoxic action. Decadron can be used for both treatment of infectious diseases and different hormonal disorders which may cause the worsening of the work of the internals and the entire body of human.
Indications to the use of Dexamethasone are adrenal insufficiency, bronchial asthma, allergic diseases, rheumatism, arthritis, diseases of connective tissue, anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukemia, brain edema and shock.
It is not complete list of the diseases which are treatable by meds; however these diseases are main on the basis of which it is possible to make a conclusion that Dexamethasone is really powerful and effective drug which has a wide-spectrum of action.

The only contraindication to meds which may lead to the side effects and worsening of the pharmacological action of meds is allergy to the active components of Dexamethasone. Other contraindications may affect the work of medication; however the correct usage of Dexamethasone and observance of precautions may improve the action of Dexamethasone.
The contraindications to the use of Dexamethasone (Decadron) are arterial hypertension, psychosis, renal failure, stomach ulcer, tuberculosis, diabetes, syphilis, mycosis, and obesity.
