Gentamicin Eye Drops

Description

Gentamicin eye drops is used to treat eye infections caused by bacteria. This medicine is also available in other names like Genoptic, Genoptic S.O.P., Ocu-Mycin, Garamycin Ophthalmic, Gentak, and Gentacidin. Apart from treating eye infections, this medicine is also used for other purposes. Usually Gentamicin eye drops is used after an intravitreal eye injection.

How to use

Gentamicin eye drops is used every 4 to 8 hours depending on the type of infection in the eye. It is better to use the eye drops as prescribed in the label or according to the instructions given by your doctor. Kindly clarify with your doctor if you do not understand any of the points. If you are using any other eye drops too you have to wait for 5 minutes before using the other medicine. After applying the eye drops close your eyes for a minute to get the maximum benefit out of it.
