Allergic reactions like hives, rashes, swelling of face, lips, throat, and tongue might occur in some patients. Sudden vision loss is also possible in some cases. If these side effects are experienced then you have to contact your doctor immediately. Some people might get nauseated, have pain or tingling sensation in the chest, numbness in arms, neck, and jaw. If you happen to get any of these during sexual activity call your doctor immediately and seek emergency help. Back pain, flushing, and headache are also found in some users of Levitra. If penis erection is prolonged for more than four hours you have to contact your doctor immediately for further treatment. However this is a rare case. Sudden vision loss is also possible in some users as the blood flow to the optic nerve in the eye is also reduced in some cases. Ketoconazole, erythromycin, Indinavir, Ritonavir will affect the person drastically when taken with Levitra. People taking nitrate drugs also should consult their doctor before they take Levitra. Dosage adjustments of Levitra might be needed in such cases. Consult your doctor if you are already taking these medications. Dose adjustments are needed for people with high or low blood pressure, stomach ulcer, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disorders, and history of strokes. Some side effects are increased if you take alcohol with Levitra. Hence it is better if you avoid alcohol when you are on Levitra.
