Neem is a tree whose barks and leaves are of more medicinal value. Its flowers and roots are also used as medicines rarely. Tablets and Oil are available in the market and it is one of the main medicines in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicines. It is use in the treatment of skin conditions, stomach upsets, problems in the intestines, worms, head lice, ulcers, and diabetes. It is very helpful in controlling the blood sugar levels and to prevent plaque formation in the mouth.
Neem can be safely used with the adults. Care should be taken to treat children with products. It is better to avoid using Neem products in children as it might cause some side effects immediately after taking the medicine. Drowsiness, diarrhea, vomiting, and seizures might occur when children are given Neem products.
Neem tablets are sold in strengths of 500 mg with 90 tablets per bottle. It is recommended to take 1 or 2 tablets daily or as recommended by your physician. It is recommended for healthy skin and for detoxifying the blood and liver. Excess pitta and kapha in the system in your body are removed if the patient takes Neem tablets or oil regularly. Patients who are willing to have healthy skin can always take Neem tablets daily. The blood sugar levels are maintained at the proper levels if you take Neem tablets regularly. If you are trying to conceive then it is better to avoid using Neem products. Women who are pregnant and are breast feeding should avoid taking medicines. If you are planning for any surgery in the coming weeks, it is better not to take Neem medicines. If you are diabetic and suffering from immune system disorders then it is better to consult your doctor before you take any Neem medicines in the form of tablets and oils.
