Norvasc (Amlodipine Besylate)
Description
Norvasc is a calcium channel blocker which helps in controlling the high blood pressure and chest pain (angina). High blood pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems so Norvasc is used to prevent all such extremities.
Recommendations
It is advised to follow the directions of your doctor. Norvasc can be taken empty stomach or with food. It is also advised to store it in dark and cold place (59-86 degree F i.e. 15-30 degree C).
It should be kept in mind that this medicine should be taken continuously and you should not miss it on days you feel well. If you miss a dose at a particular time on a day then as soon as possible on that particular day. Never take two doses at once.
Precautions
If you are allegoric to any of the ingredients then do not take this medicine. Also do not stop taking it at your own wish. Consult your doctor for proper guidance.
In case you take this medicine at the time of an acute attack, it will not provide an immediate relief. It works only if you are regular and will reduce the angina attacks only if you take it regularly.
Also it is advised not to operate machinery or drive immediately after its intake. Give your body some time to adjust so stand or sit slowly from a lying or seated position
