Ortho Tri-Cyclen (Triquilar) is a medication that is being used very popularly nowadays as a medium to control pregnancy. It is basically a combination of ethinyl estradinol as well as norgestimate, both of which are female hormones so that ovulation can be prevented and thus eggs do not get released from the ovary. The Ortho Tri-Cyclen, a contraceptive medication changes the structure of the cervical mucus thereby making it really very difficult for the sperm to reach the uterus, thereby preventing fertilization of the eggs. Ortho Tri-Cyclen is recommended using by doctors and medical experts if you want to avoid your pregnancy. It should not be taken with any antibiotic medications or if you are already taking medicines for tuberculosis. Dantrium, Lamictal, Zanaflex and Lysteda are certain medications that might have an adverse effect on interaction with the Ortho Tri-Cyclen (Triquilar).
