Priligy is the brand name for the generic drug dapoxetine. This medication is used in the treatment of premature ejaculation for men. It is an oral medication that is available for use in New Zealand. This is a new drug that is used for the treatment of premature ejaculation. Dapoxetine is available in strengths of 30 mg and 60 mg in the form of tablets. This medication is not government funded and hence the buyer has to pay for it.
Dapoxetine is recommended for usage in men in the age group of 18 to 64. This tablet Priligy has to be taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual intercourse. Priligy is available as a prescription medication only. Consult your physician before taking up Priligy.
If you are allergic to dapoxetine then it is advisable not to take Dapoxetine. A person who is allergic to any of the ingredients in Priligy should avoid taking it. Patients who are taking medications for heart related disorders and liver diseases should avoid taking Dapoxetine. Patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors should not take Priligy if they have taken MAOI in the last two weeks. Medicines like thioridazine should also be avoided when taking Priligy.
Some of the side effects of taking Dapoxetine are headache, fatigue, sleeping difficulties, pain in the stomach or abdomen, diarrhea, nausea, itching in the skin, rashes in the skin, and swelling of lips and face. If you face any of these side effects upon using Dapoxetine consult your doctor immediately. Consult your physician with any problems that you have encountered in the past before taking up Priligy. It is better to avoid alcohol when you are on Priligy. Do not even drive when taking Priligy as you are not sure how it will affect your motor skills. Any other medications that are you buy over the counter might have its effect on Dapoxetine. Hence it is better to discuss them with your physician before you take Priligy. Ensure that Priligy is for you before you take it.
