Urivoid is a medical product from the group of parasympathomimetic agents used for clearance of bowels and urinary bladder. This medication belongs to cholinergic drugs which affect nervous endings of the bowels and urinary bladder causing their emptying.
Urivoid is one of the best cleaners of the body as regardless of the cause of retention of natural waste from the body the drug neutralizes the problem and regulates the work of the internals system.
The main active ingredient of this powerful medication is bethanechol. Due to bethanechol there is a fast and maximal emptying of the bowels and urinary bladder that leads to a clearance of the body and prevention of retention of toxic substances. You can meet this name of the drug as bethanechol is Generic name of Urivoid which is used in the international medical practice. The pharmacological action of Urivoid occurs in terms of enhancement of esophagus contraction and also by increasing the pressure in sphincter which divides esophagus and stomach. The regulation of this sphincter allows to pass food in the stomach and block the movement of different substances irritating the stomach.
The use of Urivoid helps to achieve a fast clearance of the body and emptying of the bowels. However, to increase the efficiency of the drug it is necessary to consult a health care provider before using the drug. The doctor will indicate you an individual dosage and certain recommendations to the use of the drug.
Initially the recommended dose of Urivoid is 10-25 mg 3-4 times per day. The tablets should be taken one hour before taking the food, or in two hours after eating. Each tablet should be taken with a full glass of water. If the dose is ineffective, your doctor can increase it up to 50 mg.

- it is not recommended to take the drug at severe infections of the gastrointestinal tract and urine bladder
- it is not recommended to take the drug by children under 12 years as in the course of the clinical studies of the drug in this age group the action of the drug was not fully studied
- the use of Urivoid is prohibited during pregnancy or breast-feeding because the active components of the drug may affect fetus and pass into milk.
