The preparation is also referred to NSAID class (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
Indications for use
Rheumatic and inflammatory diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout attacks.
Tablets are taken without chewing with plenty of water, during or after a meal, 1-2 tablets 1-3 times a day. Upon reaching the therapeutic effect, the dose is reduced to the minimum to carry out maintenance. In severe cases, to eliminate pain treatment, the medication is introduced with intramuscular injections, and then moved on to maintenance treatment tablets, suppositories or ointments. During maintenance therapy an optimal single dose equals 1 tablet per day. The course of treatment usually lasts for 5-6 weeks, but it can be prolonged by a physician if needed. The prolongation need largely depends on the disease and tolerability. The maximum daily dose must not exceed 1.5g.
Usually the recommended dose for adults fits in the range of 50-150 mg of diclofenac sodium, the active ingredient of Voveran, divided into 2-3 intakes on a daily basis. For children over 6 years, the recommended dose is 1-2 mg/kg body weight per day, divided into 2-3 intakes.
Possible (especially at the beginning of treatment): headache, slight dizziness, abdominal pain, belching, vomiting, and diarrhea. To avoid such consequences, along with the tablets of Voveran prescribed medications to protect the stomach (Omeprazole, Almagell, etc.).
With chronic administration of the drug should a blood test is recommended to be passed each 2-3 months. In patients with chronic gastritis exacerbation of the disease may occur.
