Zebeta (Bisoprolol fumarate)
Description
Zebeta is a modern medication which is indicated for the treatment of the cardiovascular diseases. This medicine is often used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) but it can be also used in combination with other medications for the treatment of ischemic heart disease, heart failure or heart rhythm disorder.
The pharmacological action of the drug becomes apparent from the first day of the usage. Zebeta reduces load on the cardiac muscle, rate of the cardiac beat, arterial pressure and it also reduces chances of the heart attack, stroke and other severe diseases.
To achieve maximal result it is necessary to have the whole course of the treatment which will be prescribed by your doctor. The active components of the drug regulate the chemical imbalance in the work of the cardiovascular system, and therefore to regulate the heart work a certain period of time is needed. Usually, in 2-3 weeks of the drug usage a patient feels a considerable improvement of the heart.

The highest daily dose of Zebeta is 20 mg but usually it is prescribed in the severest cases. Tablets must be taken orally with a full glass of water on an empty stomach.
Precaution
- It is not recommended to take the drug if there is an allergy to the components.
- At chronic diseases such as lung diseases – bronchial asthma, emphysema, low blood pressure, gangrene, shock, and vessel diseases the drug may be taken only under close medical supervision
- Zebeta must not be taken during pregnancy and breast-feeding. The active components pass into milk and may harm a child. If necessary to take the drug during lactation, a child should be on the bottle-feeding.
